I own a Compaq Presiaro SK100uk PC...?

Go to Compaq site at -: http://h41111.www4.hp.com/compaq/uk/en/...

Check out your PC model, most essential how much memory your machine will support, some will solely take 512 memory max. The Compaq site will recount you what type of memory to buy. You don't have to buy it from them, you will probably be capable of buy your memory on ebay or from a local shop once you know what type to buy. It is worth having a look inside your PC and reading the sign on the existing memory that you already have installed. Yes you can install it yourself, the memory strip have 2 clips , one at each close, they are levers. Press the lever backwards away from the memory strip and the memory strip will pop up, lift it out. To install it basically push the new memory strip into the spare slot, press it down evenly and push the lever clips inwards towards the strip of memory and that's it. When you re-boot the BIOS will automatically find the exotic memory, check the reading on the BIOS boot up screen to craft sure that it is there. Then you know that you enjoy installed it correctly. NOTE make sure that adjectives power is turned off to the contraption before working, I be going to unplug all electrical supply
Yes, but you will probably own to buy it from Compaq.
Compaqs are a bit quirky. check the type of ram you hold and get an identicle one
