Maybe I missed something when I read the other answers but I would start at the simple things similar to leads pulled out , muted volume control etc. etc.
First check your volume controls on your desk top the volume might be muted also check the cable in the hindmost of your PC and make sure they are contained by the correct sockets. If they are all ok you might obligation to download the latest drivers for your nouns card. Go to the sound card manufacturer website and download the latest drivers from in attendance.
Check the master Volume control it could be on mute.
