I enjoy A examine even the gateway experts cannot answer!?

On my back-up and restore on window vista premium.I cannot back-up more than4- files then it stops contained by its tracks and declares that the writer experienced a transient error #0X800423F3. I enjoy tryed everything I can possibly think of including calling gateway and they transferred me to the gateway specialist that designed the program & they have never heard of it either(unless you own a box checked off wrong & I didn't). They told me to rob it to an A.S.C- STORE LIKE STAPLES & HAVE THEM DO a BACK -UP.Has anyone ever heard of such A entity?Either the back-up problem or gateway not knowing how to diagnose there own product l.o.l .Any design would be appreciated, thanks

Based on a restricted amount of posts regarding this error, it appears it could be cause due to a faulty installation of Vista.

One counsel is to do a re-install of the operating system. If Vista behaves similar to XP, you can basically do it without too much problems by starting from the install compact disc and getting it to either run a repair or install.

The other leeway is to do a clean install of Vista, this according to the posts resolves the error issue.
This error is most promising due a faulty CD/DVD writer. It's a hardware error. I would suggest you procure a new burner.
Sincere support don't use vista till one and a half year. Even Mr Bill Gates or Microsoft corporation does not know exactly what they own programmed in vista. Let the patch come after complains from customer like us.
Just today I get an error I didn't understand. I have Nero set to show me CD functions. But. I be trying to burn a DVD! Oops! I changed the indicator to CD/DVD. Or was it DVD? I forget. That fixed it.
