I enjoy pentium D processor. Asus P5WD2-E mothrboard lone diplay Pentium when boot up. It doesn't diplay "D".

It displays what the bios tell it to display. Your motherboard may be compatible with your cpu but if the "shipping" copy of the system bios pre-dates the cpu then it may not register as such. You can download the most up-to-date version of your motherboards bios at the Asus network site.

Make sure you also have the most recent version of the bios update utility.
Don't verbs about that....As long as it is showing the correct Speeds it is working properly...
