I hold an intel celeron processor from a laptop can this be fitted into a workstation?

can this be fitted if yes what would i stipulation to do?

you would need a PC that have a compatable motherboard
The chip was made for a particular socket.



If it the same as your PC afterwards yes. If its not then no.



Laptop processors are (more recently) made to a something-M spec. Like Celeron-M. This mechanism mobile and usually corespondes with a mobile sized socket.



Id vote its very unlikely but perchance. Try it.
Almost 100% positive it will not work. Because they are different sockets, even if they are the same numbers, one is for mobile, one is for desktop

If the chip fits surrounded by the socket and it doesn't smoke after you turn on the power and then it boots, later it must work right? It it does nothing, later you should drill a hole in it and use it for jewelry.
