I own an elder AMD 1800 (1.1 Ghz) any method to overclock this?

I dont want to blow it up but is it possible to overclock surrounded by the bios?

Honestly man, what's the point? Especially if this is your primary PC, you'd be better off freshly upgrading it.



The other day, I saw a ton of AMD Athlon XP range from 2200+ all the path up to 3000+ for less than $5 selling on eBay. Check your motherboard's booklet to see how high you can upgrade to and carry your hands on a newer processor. Also upgrading your memory to a minimum of 512MB should backing too.



Note: If you've got an elder version of Windows such as 95/98/ME, don't walk over 512MB.
That really depends on the mother board bios settings you have available.

AMD processors are better for overclocking than Pentium within my opinion.



Look for an pick in your bios similar to cpu frequency or something similar.
theres ways to overclocking any pc........injudicious tho...theres alot more than just speeding up ur notebook..theres cooling issues....shut down issues......read this first before trying......theres links surrounded by there for programs to sustain to
