I own a AMD Duron 1.3GHz within a MSI 6378motherboard, Can I put a AMD Sempron 1.5GHz Processor contained by it?

yes

you can

by updating your BIOS

newly go to MSI pattern site

find your motherboard

download bios update patch suitable for your M/B

it has also an instruction within text

uncultivated the instructions

( !!! : before updating , rear legs up your recent bios firmware )
look in the instruction book that came beside the motherboard, it will tell you which processors fit it

or check the msi website

http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spe...

it say duron/athlon/athlon XP

nothing something like sempron

which socket does a sempron use? 462/A ?
No, the Duron is a Socket A processor, the Sempron/Athlon64 uses Sockets 939/940/ and the newer socket AM2. It physically will not fit, if you try you WILL break the pins! Your best bet is finding a Athlon XP processor, try to find out what it can handle up to, hopfully a 3500+ because that will max it out and it can compete next to entery level Athlon 64's.
Nope

Not if I enjoy the right board in mind.

CPU

o Supports Socket A (Socket 462) for AMD(R) DuronTM/ AthlonTM/Athlon XPTM Processors.

o Supports Athlon XP (PalominoTM) 1900+ Processor

o Supports Athlon (Thunderbird, Socket A) to 1.4GHz

o Duron (Socket A) to 950MHz
