I enjoy a IDE to SATA Adapter but the computer will not see the firm drive?

I own a computer with ASUS AI motherboard. I hold one hard drive surrounded by SATA 1 but the hard drive beside adapter is in slot 2 and the computer is not recognize it.

Do you mean a IDE to SATA power adapter so that your regular power supply can connect to the SATA drive?



And I'm assuming that you hold connected the SATA data cable from this drive to the motherboard surrounded by the SATA2 slot...right?



Is the BIOS recognising the 2nd drive during POST? If not, you may have to see the SATA2 in your BIOS. Check to take home sure all SATA connections are enabled. And don't select the RAID configuration unless that's what you intended the further drive to be.



If the drive is being recognised during POST, consequently you may have to adjust Windows or install a driver for that SATA nouns.



At any rate, you should consult the little booklet that came near your montherboard.

Gold Dog made me recall that if you enjoy a motherboard that does not recognise the faster SATA drives, you will need to set the jersey on the drive to restrict it to the slower transfer speed that the motherboard recognises.
Make sure you put the jumper on the correct pins on the back of the tough drives. Otherwise they may not be configured correctly for what you are trying to do, or they may even conflict with respectively other.
