****Do Not connect the reader before you do the following******

Before connecting the reader, you must install the smartcard driver and the reader utilities for Winxp

Go to Control Panel

Open Administrative Tools

Open Services

Open Smart Card Services

Then set it to Start Automatically

afterwards plug in your smart card reader.....

For a serial port smart card reader you enjoy to restart the system....
I am not sure what do you mean by a "contact" card reader. But roughly if you have a card reader that is to say not being accepted by Windows XP first I would try go to the website of the factory owner of that card reader. Look for Support, and see if they have the driver for Windows XP here, download it, install it, reboot, and see if it works for you.

Sounds to me like adjectives you need is the right driver(s) for Windows XP and it should work fine.

And no, I enjoy no idea what is msgina.dll if you're getting a message that pops up adage something about that folder, maybe that's what it is, something wrong near the driver for your card reader. - Go download the latest driver(s) for Windows XP at the manufacturer's website.

I hope this help.

I hold a SigmaTel C-Major Audio nouns card, how do I nouns it contained by dos prompt?

I requirement to load it to attain sound contained by a program through dos prompt. I am running windows xp.

I hold a SigmaTel C-Major Audio nouns card, how do I nouns it contained by dos prompt?

The quiz is that of having the relevant drivers loaded at DOS startup. If you are thinking of booting from a DOS boot disk consequently the reference 1 will come within handy. What you need to do is probly download the relevant drivers, put them contained by a convenient location(say a:\sound) and add a column DEVICE=a:\sound\sigmatel.sys

You might need to turn out around a bit for the right drivers. Usually generic sound blaster drivers work

If you are gonna use the command prompt contained by windows, afterwards its a no brainer.find the device from my computer, find its IRQ and use the SET balster command to specify the env settings
Read the manual. Most problems can be solved by reading the guide. It should tell how to do so.

Is it ok to exit it running everyday?

Hi, I have one too! The thing's whiz around at 7200 Rpm. I suppose it has some caring of bearings, so though you don't HAVE to, it will prolong the duration of your disc to turn it off. The newer models hold shock resist, but until recently, they be very shock sensitive, so if the cleaning female, or your baby brother or even you bonk the entity while it's spinning around at 7200 rpm it can damage it. You lose data- your disc messes up. Smarter to turn it rotten!

You can leave it running, it singular uses a little liquid when not used for a while. It's not going to overheat or anything. Just don't drop it. Mine broke ending summer.

i wouldnt. just unplug the power.
You can move off it running, but it will last longer if you switch it past its sell-by date.
You can leave it running unless you are not going to use it for a few days. Most external intricate drives are built so you can leave them running. The own a special seal that allows you to walk off it running with out doing any spoil. They also go into thier own standby mode.
You dont enjoy to but it'll shorten its life if you dont.
It spins down when it's not human being used. They're used as backup drives and would probably run for 20 years before they wore out.
good idea to buy a rental car

Well, theres two types of vga card brands out there Nvidia and ATI, i myself would reccomend Nvidia due to smaller number compatability issues, but before you prefer on a card check to see whats compatible. obviously a geforce8800gtx wouldnt be compatible if you dont hold pci express and it may not run well if you dont own the right Mobo, Memory, or a high ample processor speed. post your hardware specs and ill see if i can abet ya witch compatability

**hope i helped, a site i other find useful is "www.tomshardware.com" (check out the forums, theres abundantly of techy ppl on there inclined to help ; )
Almost any one. Check the table. The X300 doesn't appear because it perform so poorly.

Make sure your motherboard supports PCI Express.
if you have a PCIE nouns on your system, get the nVidia GeForce 8800GTX. You'll be screaming hasty & the best graphics EVER.... for now to be precise.

Hi. Download the most modern drivers from ATI. Make sure your board is seated properly. Check for proper ventilation so the GPU does not overheat. Make sure your power supply can provide satisfactory power. (This is a common problem beside cheap PSUs.) Also just double check the cable from the card to the monitor.
