Yes it will support 1GB of RAM. It probably uses PC100 or PC133.
sounds approaching an older computer.(4yrs infirm?) Like other people said, probably pc100 bump. You should check the number of slots in your mother board. You should also try to find the instruction manual for your mother board online. I have an elderly computer and i found mine. This is really the only exact style to find if u can support it.
