I enjoy a 512mb hit , how much run into is used up when i start window xp?

Well, i am really confused! i looked-for to know tht how much ram should be free when u using the comp? rationale when i go to odd job manager and see carrying out, it shows,

Total= 514032

Available= 209004 (fluctuates)

system cache= 100772

Please help; me out!

That really depends... With your numbers it looks like you enjoy about 200MB free. The system is using roughly 100MB, roughly that means that adjectives your programs that load are using roughly 200MB too. That would be any of the programs that are in the Startup folder and things that show up surrounded by your System Tray. If you look in obligation manager at the processes you can see the Memory Grabbing ones to know which is using the most. Some you could stop from loading to free up more, or you could simply donate more RAM. Hope this helps...
In job manager click on the concert tab, the lower green graph will show you how much RAM you are using at the moment. Right clicking on 'my computer' and selecting propertys will show how much total RAM you hold.



If its a fairly fresh install of window with simply a thing or two running contained by the background your laptop would be using somewhere in the 200 to 300 mb field. If you have a ton of crap running this will drasticly increase.
